What a busy and exciting week at Woodfin Elementary! Last Saturday, WES hosted the Woodfin 5K event. Students, staff, and community members had a great time running, walking, and enjoying all the fun, all while raising money for WES literacy programs 🏃♀️ On Tuesday, 1st grade went on a field trip to watch their favorite fairytales come to life 🏰They had a great time at the Wortham Theater! Finally, today we had a Police K9 Therapy dog come in. Students loved meeting and spending time with Brody! Now for the weekend...🥱

Yesterday, the fourth grade Woodfin Elementary Battle of the Books team competed in the Buncombe County Schools Battle of the Books competition at A.C. Reynolds High School. Students did an AMAZING job and had a great time competing! These students read dozens of chapter books and competed in a game show style competition against other elementary schools in the district.
