WELCOME TO
FIRST GRADE!
Teacher: Mrs. Julie Armstrong
Welcome to first grade! I am so excited to have your child in my classroom this year!
I am proud to have grown up here in Buncombe County. This is my tenth
year with Buncombe County Schools! I have had the privilege of teaching
first, second and third grades. I absolutely love this age group!
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and my K-6 Elementary Education license from Mars Hill College.
I also minored in Business Administration with a
concentration in management and marketing.
I enjoy reading, traveling, painting and playing with
my three kids!
I believe an open line of communication between home and school is an important part of educating children.
I welcome the opportunity to hear your thoughts or
questions. I like to keep families connected to the classroom
through volunteer opportunities, weekly homework logs, quarterly newsletters, class emails, my
website and notes.
My passion is teaching...I love watching students develop new skills and knowledge everyday!
I look forward to a wonderful new year and working with you and your child!
