Safe Schools Act

The North Carolina Safe Schools Act states:

"All school personnel are required to promote high standards for school safety.  All school personnel are charged with the responsibility to support the superintendent and principals in carrying out the provision of the Safe Schools Plan.  All school personnel are required to report all unsafe activities to their immediate supervisor and to assist in maintaining a safe, secure and orderly school environment to include assisting in restoring order in the event of serious disorder."  Please discuss the seriousness of making a threat or hoax involving classmates or teachers with your child.  Such actions will result in severe penalties.
