Permission to Videotape/Photograph students
It
is the school system’s procedure not to require parent permission for
students to be photographed, videotaped, and/or interviewed by system
employees or media on routine school topics, activities for public
information, awards and honors, instructional and promotional purposes.
However, parent permission must be given to photograph, videotape
and/or interview children with physical or mental disabilities if they
will be identified as children with physical or mental disabilities.
Parents, guardians, or eligible students may request not to be
photographed, videotaped and/or interviewed by notifying the school in
writing within ten (10) days of publication of this policy in the
Student/Parent Handbook.
