We are Diana Restrepo and Claudia Camacho, Spanish teachers at 1st grade. We were born in Colombia, a country full of contrasts. beauty and diversity...a place like no other!
I, Diana, was born in a small city town named Villavicencio, at the South of the country. In 2003, I moved up north west to Medellin, the second main city in the country, with my son, Samuel. There, I got a Bachelor Degree in Elementary-Middle Education, focused on Humanistic and Foreign Language/ English at Fundacion Universtaria Luis Amigo.
I have been teacher for 12 years, and there is no other job I can do better. Being a teacher has given me lots of happiness, smiles and love, which I would not change for anything in the world. I simply love teaching!
My main focus is to help raising better human beings. Knowledge is only worthy as long as you can share it and help others around you. That is why I include tons of fun in my classes. And it works! People only learn from those things they love.
I came to the USA in 2012 as part of VIF's Spanish Immersion Program "Splash!".
I am Claudia, Spanish class Teacher Assistant. I was born in Bogota, capital city of Colombia, and I came to USA with my husband in 2006. I have a Bachelor Degree in Preschool at Universidad San Buenaventura and a Master Degree in Philosophy of Education.
I have been teacher for more than 20 years, profession I have enjoyed a lot since I love all the joy and spark that only children have.
I have been working at Glen Arden since 2013.
