Buncombe County Schools supports the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction's Mission of Digital Teaching and Learning to collaborate to empower leadership, build educator capacity, and foster partnerships to support all learners.  The vision of Digital Teaching and Learning is that all Buncombe County learners will graduate from high school, be globally competitive for a career or college and most importantly be prepared for life.

 

Learners are engaged in acquiring knowledge by producing innovative artifacts of learning through access to a variety of software programs, resources, web tools and digital devices.

 

Buncombe County Schools provides interactive classroom environments for all learners, allowing them to explore and construct meaning through real world connections.

 

Buncombe County Schools remains committed to providing adequate resources to ensure the development of Information and Technology Essential Standards (NCDPI) among our students and to prepare students for a diverse, global society.  ISTE Standards for Students (ISTE Standards•S) are also used for evaluating the skills and knowledge students need to learn effectively and live productively in an increasingly global and digital world.
